Mended Hearts welcomes you to join our cause. You’ll be able to make a difference in a patient’s recovery and outlook on life, as well as interact with other members through local chapter meetings, volunteer opportunities and special events. Although most of our members are heart disease patients and survivors, and some are professional health care providers, anyone interested is welcome to join.

To become a member of our chapter, click here and print our application form (requires Adobe Reader), fill it out, and mail it with a check for the first year’s dues. Please mark (and sign) whether you would like your name to appear in the listings on page 2 of the newsletter (see our newsletter).

Members receive a Mended Hearts lapel pin and the quarterly national newsletter Heartbeat. Chapter members also receive the monthy chapter newsletter The Jersey Heartbeat (recent issues can be read here). You must be a chapter member to be a chapter officer or committee chairperson, or to visit patients as a participant in the Mended Hearts visiting program. You don’t have to be a member to attend chapter meetings.

Individual member dues (including chapter and national dues) are $22 for the first year ($17 for subsequent years). Family memberships and national life memberships are available. Dues less $10, and contributions, are tax-deductible.
