Mended Hearts organizes special education seminars related to heart health, prevention, recovery and lifetime maintenance. Mended Hearts Chapter 179 also publishes a monthly newsletter that is filled with information about our organization.
Make a difference and volunteer to become a visiting member of Mended Hearts. If visiting is not for you volunteer to become an officer or write material for our newsletter or contribute ideas for future education seminar. Any contribution of time and ideas is appreciated.

For more than 50 years, Mended Hearts has been bringing together patients, spouses, family members, friends, medical professionals — all of us who are faced with the realities of heart disease — to form a network of caring individuals.
Hearts of Jersey Chapter #179 was chartered at Neptune, NJ in February 1999 as a chapter of The Mended Hearts, Inc. We partner with the medical centers of the Meridian Health
- Meetings for education and mutual support are held at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, and Ocean Medical Center in Brick.
- Specially trained members visit heart disease patients while they are in these hospitals.
- A monthly newsletter is mailed to members and to patients who have been visited in the previous three months, and placed where heart patients are likely to gather.
